ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On a lark, at a spring 2006 reunion, Taylor Branch (author), Bill Guy (lawyer), and John Yelverton (real estate developer) stayed up all night recording cover songs from the golden era of crossover soul and Beatlemania. This is the amazing result. Pure fun and musical delight!

OFF OUR ROCKER is the impossible comeback group--never before discovered but launched here for extended thrills, in OverTime.

Taylor Branch is the Pulitzer Prize winning author of many books, including the recently completed landmark trilogy "America in the King Years" on Martin Luther King and the civil rights era. Information on his literary work is available on the website, taylorbranch.com.

Bill Guy has recorded many CDs of Christian music available through his website, billguysongs.com.

John Yelverton doesn't have a website yet, but OverTime listeners can hear his merry cackle between song tracks.

Even better than when you all played in college
What a treat. I heard this group years ago in college at UNC, and this CD brought back lots of memories. This is terrific!

Fantastic!! Makes you want to sing along and get up and rock.
This is a great CD--it would be enjoyed by anyone who likes rock and roll, of any age. The group really does sound like the originals and has a great selection. Amazing to know they are so accomplished in other fields. They clearly have a second career if they gave up their day jobs. ENJOYING the CD immensely.

Can't believe a bunch of old farts sound better than the originals
I am amazed at the quality of these covers. In my opinion most of them are better than the originals. Would recommend buying this CD for anybody between the ages 20 and 70.
