good stuff
author: Julie Stemmler
Great a cappella group vocals, great song choices, great direction, great arrangements. Only downfall is that the soloists are a little weak, and a couple of the soprano solos are downright piercing. But the track "Trouble at the River" is worth the price of the CD alone.

Overall, Great Day is a Very Good album. I think Lawd, "How Come Me Heah?" is the best spirituals I have ever heard, that expresses the black experience during the time of slavery. My complements to soloist Sharon Henderson. You GO Girl!! Great job choir on "No Trouble at the River" and "Good Night". I have one criticism, "I've Been Buked" is a little too sing-songy. It to me does not have enough expression.
