Omer Gaudet was born in North Bay, Ontario.
Raised in Richibucto, New Brunswick; He traveled extensively through the rural eastern provinces, always performing and writing songs of his experiences.
While living in Montreal, Quebec, during the 1990's; Omer performed at various coffee houses and open mike venues, eventually performing on a local cable show for new artists.
In May of 2000, he entered the studio to record an album called “The Crow's Nest”. When distribution fell through, Omer relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, and formed Omer and the Spirit Wolves. The Spirit Wolves performed at various venues in the lower mainland of BC; The Railway Club, Corduroys, Fireside Cafe, and The Firefighters Club amongst them, as well as repeat performances at local annual festivals, Robson Square April 20th festival, and Surrey Celebration of Life Fest and several others. Omer and the Spirit Wolves recorded a demo in 2010 called “The Birdland Sessions”.
Unfortunately the Spirit Wolves disbanded in 2011, but omer continued writing and performing solo. After recording a self titled 4 song demo in 2012, 1 song, (I'm heading home), received some play on CJSE 89.9 Shediac, NB. This led to a single being recorded and released, (L'histoire d'un Contrairi), which was on the charts for 13 weeks eventually reaching the #1 spot on the de'compte country francophone 89.9 CJSE charts Feb/23/2013.
Currently writing and rehearsing songs for a new album, Omer is looking forward to new opportunities and a possible Canadian tour
