From Southwestern Ohio, Okeanas have been servin' up their blend of hillbilly seasoned rock in the venues of the Midwest, off and on, for over a decade. With a taste for the dark poetry of traditional country music blended with slabs of crunchy guitar, tasty drums and big chunky bass, Okeanas bring a rare dish to the table. Long ago Okeanas realized, as Barley Scotch put it, the “Lost Highway” and the “Highway to Hell” are the same road. With that in mind reconciling the styles of Sticky Fingers era Rolling Stones with George Jones and IRS era R.E.M. comes naturally.
