Omar K. Mills has returned with his most unique project to date. An instrumental album that is completely out of the box – or as its name suggests – Majestic.

14 tracks that sound at times as if they come straight from the pages of scripture, or at other times, out of a children’s book or science fiction film.

“I wanted to score a film,” Mills said when I asked him about this change in his music. Having no film to work on, Mills decided to make the music first – figuring that the film would eventually come.

“My hope is that film makers will hear this CD and invite me to score for their short films, independent films – or perhaps even feature films”.

All 14 tracks were written, produced and performed by Mills – a first for him.

“I always wanted to do an album where I played every sound you hear. Hopefully people will like it”.

The album gets it’s name “The Majestic” from Psalm 8:1, Mills says.

“If you read Psalm 8:1 it says, ‘Oh Lord, how majestic is your name’. I went a step further and then named every track after one of God’s names.”

I asked Mills if the “In His Image” CD that he did in 2008 was the last time we would hear him sing?

“I will probably do one more singing album, I haven’t decided. Chances are that instrumentals are the direction I am moving in. But it’s really up to the Lord. If He says it’s time to sing again, then guess what – we’re singing (smile)”.
