Album Notes

OnceOver is a musical masterpiece, a proverbial sheet of staff paper being continuously added to. The musical composition and diversity of its five members is enough to boggle the mind. OnceOver will dominate the listener's musical comprehension not only with awesome song writing and technique, but with heart felt, tear jerking, raw emotion that stems from modern metal and rock music. "We all have the ability to play multiple instruments, I play guitar and sing, Paul plays bass guitar and Viola, Nate plays bass and drums, Nick plays guitar, Dave plays bass, and bag pipes, flute." says Steve the drummer. "This allows us to really step into a different dimension of song writing and really opens us to all kinds of possibilities!" replies Nate Periat the group's guitarist. This is exactly the feeling you get when you listen to the music that OnceOver creates. It is a diverse bombardment of sounds that take you on a journey into the very core of its members. Viola, electronic inducements of sound, eerie atmospheric ambience, flute, acoustic guitars and lush harmonies layer throughout their full length, self titled album "OnceOver" , and "These Precious Days" OnceOver's brand new offering. There is no limitation to these very skilled musicians.

In 2002 OnceOver finished writing their debut self titled album, "OnceOver". It is the foundation of the bands current sound. It truly speaks for itself. With major internet promotion the band experienced large independent success. OnceOver then decided it was time to take their music to the next level and release a documentary music video which would feature their single "Losing Faith" and "Pink"! This would also include a brand new 3 song promotional EP released simultaneously!

In May 2004 OnceOver released "These Precious Days". "The album took about a year to write and record, and the band did a lot of reflecting and searching within themselves", said guitarist Nate Periat. "It's truly one of the most personal things I have ever done, and it has brought the 5 of us closer than ever , added drummer Steve Dwyer. With this latest offering, the songwriting, musicianship, and overall production quality was raised beyond the bands expectations. "We are 100% proud of this new album, its everything we wanted it to be", said bassist Nick Archer. With the album in local Toledo stores May 18th and the cd being distributed nationwide through all FYE music store outlets, OnceOver can only hope to gain new fans and in their own way make a dent in the industry. One thing is for sure, they won't stop until they have.

Epic, Beyond Words

This CD was amazing... I loved the power of the first song, the beauty of Blue Serenity, and the feeling of doom that hung over Pink. The more aggressive songs were unbelievable. Below Me, and Solace, were like some epic battle between mythic armies, I loved it. Long for Summer was well written, and was such a perfect change of mood. The middle of Far and Away was such a build! I loved how it ended with Into the Void and Axiom. Great stuff. Beyond words.
