mark taylor is the singer/songwriter behind "the one".
"three" is mark's first full cd release on futurascope music. it contains songs written mainly during 2000 with song themes ranging from a bad day at the airport "airport mania" to the birth of his first child "c'mon".
mark was born in the west of scotland in a town where the rain lives called greenock, 20 miles west of glasgow. he has been involved in playing and writing music for over 10 years, having played in various bands during that period.
after a move to california at the beginning of '96 followed by a 3000 mile move eastwards to portland, maine, mark has finally returned back to glasgow in scotland where he continues to record and run futurascope music.
the music is guitar based and takes it's roots from the 60's and early 70's with bands like the kinks, the who, the byrds and the beatles all having an influence. these influences have been mixed with a wide variety of sounds from more recent times and combine to create an original melodic pop/rock sound.
at this stage mark is looking to have his music heard by as many people as possible and is using futurascope music as his vespa to the ears of those willing to listen.....
to date 3 cd's have been released,
⢠three (dec'00)- futurascope music - 10 song cd
⢠pacifica(dec'99)- futurascope music - 5 song ep
⢠on the one(may'00)- futurascope music - 7 song cd
a new cd is scheduled for release through futurascope music in march 2002.
