ONE EYE THEORY is a band of musicians and songwriters in Columbus, Ohio, playing original music that has been described as 'contemporary alternative classic rock' and 'Amerimash'. The band's energy, musicianship, and surprise mid-song theatrics make them a must-see-live experience.
One Eye Theory has been heralded by its fans as the emerging local band of "density", made up of an unlikely ragtag group of musicians that form a unique blend of sounds rich in both spirit and character. The variety of tracks range in genre from blues, rock, and reggae, to jazz, country, and hip-hop!
The album 'Eyelights' is a compilation of their best live recordings taken at various shows and rehearsals over the course of 2009. A selection of full-length original pieces are included in the compilation, as well as short clips of inspired improvisations that may potentially evolve into the seeds for new musical works. This album presents a peek behind the scenes of an up and coming inspired local band with a dynamic chemistry and contagious energy!
One Eye Theory has decided to release this album in its original raw "single-take" form to share with you their best musical moments of the year as is, without studio fabrication or over-editing (although some tracks were abridged due to time constraints). One of the goals of this album is to provide a forum for discussion and feedback about which tracks you enjoyed most, so that the band can direct their efforts and explore some songs at a deeper level, potentially to include in a future studio-produced album with a more polished "retail" presentation.
One Eye Theory would like to know if you enjoyed the album, and in particular which songs you like the most! They'll take the most popular tracks and include them in an upcoming studio album!
