ONE SON, was born in Lanett Alabama, and moved to Brooklyn N.Y. at the age of eighteen to pursue a music career. After playing semi pro football for the Brooklyn Chargers he endured some hard times which led him into enlisting in the U.S. Army. The Army enabled him to live in various places such as Missouri, Virginia, Seattle, Atlanta, and Fort Worth TX. That gave him a four-corner outlook on how people live in different areas, and helped him incorporate these things into his music. While in Texas he met individuals who shared the passion for music as himself. He has released three underground cd's, and has opened up for numerous well known artist such as: Outkast, Common, Hieroglyphics, De La Soul, The Grave Diggers, Killa Mike, Public Enemy, and Blackstreet. While performing in Austin, TX. he was discovered by Maxine Lewis who is the segment producer for Amateur Night At The Apollo she liked his performance, and invited him to perform at The Apollo Theater. He received a standing ovation, and since have appeared in three independent films DIRTY SOUTH, RIFF, and ALMOST TIME. His latest release is called A POOR MANS TESTIMONY which features the single HEAR MY CRY. The video aired on BET UNCUT in July 2003, and have also aired on various independent video shows in Alabama, Atlanta, and Dallas. One Son is currently overseas in Iraq, and will soon be releasing his new project, based on his experiances in Iraq. One listen, and you'll see why there might be many stars, but there's only ONE SON. Log on to http://onesononeson.com/ for more information.

SUPER-HUMAN
author: Sibylle
I can higly recommend to buy this CD. ONE SON does not just rapp the casual "Shake that Bootey", that man got one hot lyrik in his Rapp that really makes you think deeper about peoples struggles, unfairness, weakness or strength or braveness in life. It shows us that so many of us try so hard to give their best, but just as life is, sometimes we gain and win, sometimes loose something in life, no matter how hard we tried. I bet everyone can find somewhere a little reflection of his-/herself in his songs.
I heared he got a new Album coming out soon, so stand in line, cause that man is not much longer a underground- secret in the world, he is "The Voice!".

This has got to be one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. It is not saturated with the same old bling bling theme or the shoot em up stuff. There is a little bit of everything in here that we have all experinced one time or another. One Son get's two thumbs up...
