Only Ed and The Almost's 4th album, NEVER LEARNS, goes where Ed has gone before and a few places where Ed has never gone but has always wanted to if he could afford it. Poppy, jazzy, meaty, fibrous and sometimes cheesy. In a good way.

Album Notes

Only Ed and The Almost Never Learns, but he keeps trying. This is his fourth album. Sometimes it's poppy, sometimes it's jazzy, sometimes it's just plain noisy, sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's oddly sad. These songs were written, performed and recorded in 2007 by Ed only. If you would rather read about music than listen to it, here's a short synopsis of each track:

GLEK AND TORG PICK UP AN EARTH STATION: Two space aliens. A long mission. Boredom. A radio. Orders not to use it. A connundrum: Obey Commander Zik, or take a spacewalk on the wild side?

YOU'RE MY LOSER: Admitting you're a loser is the first step to wellness. Or suicide.

LOVE-30: The gals seem to be enjoying themselves a bit too much here.

STAN: No, not the rap song! Think Muslim countries. Mortars. Mayhem! And Ed making fun of them.

FLUFFY THE CAT: Jazz instrumental about a fictitious feline.

ED'S LITTLE BOSSA: He always wanted to write one of these. Now he has.

SCREW YOU, POLAR ICE CAPS: Let's just say Ed is skeptical of the coming apocalypse.

BETWEEN ZERO AND SIX: A cool driving tune. Crank it up and go.

BONE OF CONTENTION: Hillary's Unofficial Campaign Song!

THERE'S SOMETHING IN MY SOUP: A jazzy number that has nothing to do with the popular menu item.

SCOTCH AND SUNDAY: Jazz meets backward guitars and makes perfect sense with just the right amount of Johnnie Walker.

LEAVE THE GUN, TAKE THE CANNOLIS: Ed predicts the future while quoting Clemenza.

RAGE AGAINST THE CUISINE: Not really. Some of Ed's best friends are food!

SHE STOLE MY BEER (DEMO): Primitive version of the classic.

SOLITUDE (DEMO): A trifle. With midi piano and maybe fake cello.
