"On the Third Day"


"And we are witnesses of all things which he did...Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly....."Acts 10:39-40

We give thanks unto God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of our lives. For if it had not been for Christ we would not have realized this day. He is the author and finisher of our faith, to whom we are grateful for the love, the hope, the healing, the deliverance and the joy of our salvation. For, it is Christ Jesus who has blessed our natural and spiritual lives.

It was on the third day that Jesus arose from the dead before ascending into heaven to be at the right hand of the Father. Prior to his ascension, he appeared before his disciples over a period of forty days "speaking of the things pertaining to God" and the "dispensation of the gospel". On the day of Pentecost, after receiving the holy ghost, his disciples were released to go forth to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ: to compel men to come to Christ, be saved, repent and be baptized.

In that tradition, On the Third Day is committed to that vision which was set forth by Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago. By sharing that vision, we understand that we are simply a part of an already established ministry ("the body of Christ") whose purpose is to win souls to the kingdom through the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our mission to encourage those that are lost to receive salvation and those that are saved to keep their salvation.

On The Third Day was not formed for the purpose of establishing itself because it aspires to make its mark on the music industry. We are simply a willing vessels that "God has called to do his work. We are a group of saved individuals that love, honor and reverence God. By his will, we have come together for the sole purpose of using our gift of music to tell the world the "good news" about Jesus Christ.

What began with Minister Tony D, Minster Vanessa Burel and Brother David Durrah as a musical group ministering the gospel through music at different events became an extension of God's ministry. Inspired by the events of his life, Minister Tony D sat down one day at the piano and wrote his testimony in music and lyric. That testimony tells how the Lord delivered him from the hands of the enemy and how he found peace in Christ Jesus. Accompanied by brother David Durrah on piano Minister Vanessa Burel sang the songs and the three of them decided to record the music and release it on a CD. By the will of God, the other members of the group came together and the CD was produced.

This CD is a love offering unto God. It is documented proof of how God can change the lives of "them that call on his name". It is documented proof of the love that God has for us. It is documented proof of the hope we have in God. It is documented proof that God is able to perform that which he has promised in his word. It is evidence that Jesus saves.
