ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ora Cogan

"Ora's voice possesses that haunting, soulful quality that seems like its source is coming from deep deep within or beyond. Like a mysterious transplant from decades past, it's as though she opens her mouth and a lilting voice from the '20s comes drifting out.” – Aquarius Records

Daughter to a Singer and a Photo Journalist, Ora’s house was also a recording studio and her Family played host to a constant stream of musicians and travelers. Ora started writing songs and performing at 12.

Last spring Ora recorded “Tatter” with the help of John Raham, Frazey Ford and Trish Klein of The Be Good Tanyas. At first Ora made each copy by hand out of old record sleeves and sold them off the stage. "Tatter" is now re-released with two additional live tracks.
