"I didn't want to just have poets who are at the DEF Poets level. My CD is like if you went to a poetry club. With regards to the poet Sharee who's piece was "Yes I'm Fucking him". I like her probably the best for an album like this or even in the club because her poems are honest and simple. Some poets get overwhelmed with metaphors and big words and I think they confuse and loose audiences. I believe that any form of communication should first get the message across and that goes for books, jokes, speeches, movies, and poetry."
