Album Notes

Orange Helicopter is a blend of New York punk and English power pop.

This highly energetic 11-song CD is a testament to bombastic power pop at it's finest.

With heavy hitters like "Arsenic Bubblegum" and "Movies" to the beautiful ballad "Falling Star Potion", this CD is a test to the boundaries of your senses.

The subject matter of the material is no less diverse, touching on such subjects as: drug abuse, serial killing, and suicide to believing in yourself and the good times in life. See the Orange Helicopter website at www.myspace.com/orangehelicopter

Take 70's pop and mix it with a millinium, hybrid version of the mighty Cheaptrick and you have Orange Helicopter definetely tomorrow's super-group..with impeccable, structered songs and melodious harmonies with a hard edge guitar thrown in for good measure..enter the future of the rock scene..I can only rate it a 5..but in true Spinal Tap fashion I would give this a 11!..so,do yourself a favor and order this disc and clear the other ones out of the deck..because this is the only disc you will need for the rest of the year......

the good, the bad, the just plain fun
author: Jerry Hayes
i'm not really sure what you're wanting out of music these days. this generation more than any other really doesn't have a defination of what is cool, does it? in the 80's it was corp/glam rock. the 90's meant you never had to shower again and just moaning was enough. the next generation is going to want a bit more, and this band has the experience and sound to deliver. i can pick out any one of 3 bands in this music, all of which are good, but the part that makes you come back is while it sounds familiar, it's original just the same. cheap trick, motley crue and throw in some beatles and you have this band summed up quickly, but they go beyond that. i'm not here to say their career will ever match any of these, but if you ever heard a song from any of these bands you fondly remember, then this band is worth a shot as well. the lead singer, joey c jones, has "been there, done that" and has been a significant part of the dallas scene for well over 10 years and you can hear the experience in this groups music. if you want some great music to have a great time with, you found your cd. if you want a trend or to be different, just like everyone else, keep going, another pearl jam ripoff has got to be out there somewhere. give it a shot. in the end it stands a great chance of being the best $10 you spent in quite awhile. jerry
