Album Notes

The Orchard Boys Bluegrass Band is a five piece ensemble based in Frederick, Maryland. The group has been a staple of the Maryland music scene since the early 1980's when three brothers, John, Jim and Jeff Rosenwald put their exquisite vocal harmonies together with their mandolin, guitar and bass playing abilities to form a top notch bluegrass band. With the addition of Fred Smoral on resophonic guitar and Paul Houck on banjo the Orchard Boys continually forge ahead combining the traditional with the progressive to create their own unique sound.

This is our second CD release. There are a lot more original tunes and fewer covers than before. The original material was written by John, our mandolin player and lead singer, and Paul, our most excellent banjo player.
