Auch musikalisch ist die Entwicklung zurück in die Vergangenheit erkennbar. Ja, es ist wahr: Robbie Williams ist nicht der Erfinder des Swing. Sein Album erinnert an das "Rat Pack", bestehend aus Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin und Sammy Davis Jr.. Das waren die 50er und 60er Jahre. Es gab allerdings in dieser Musikepoche nicht nur Swing. Deutsche Liedermacher sangen neben Balladen auch Schlager – eine Musikrichtung, die Wohlgefallen bei Jung und Alt hervorrief. Und genau hier setzt das ORCHESTER Franz'L. an.
