"Imagine a death metal album without the genre-trapping machine gun drums, without the "I am not human hence my painted face" vocals, and without the ultra-fast-tuned-deeper-than-the-pits-of-hell guitars.
What's left? A haunting soundtrack of slow beats echoing from a mossy dungeon, reverberating like the pounding of chests in mourning. Strings and howls intertwined in the shadows just beyond the edge of the woods. Strange rites performed under the cover of night by flickering torches. Bass and fuzz pulse thudding like dust covered tomes dropped on oak tables in ancient libraries. Seriously, it set my mind racing, yet slowed my pulse and calmed my limbs. This album is a contact high of a particular kind, but exactly what I'm not sure..."

"Orchestra Diabolica is a one man gothic instrumental project put together by Anthony M. The sound here is dark and brooding ambiance with elements of classical music. There is also a slight industrial flavor to this that really ups the creep factor. Society of the Living Dead is equal parts darkly beautiful and terrifyingly surreal."
