Album Notes

In the 60's,the 'Orioles' were a band from Essex UK, featuring,Mickey Jupp,Mo Witham,Bob Clouter and John Bobin. They led the way in this music in the UK,but disbanded before they got their just recognition. All four members of the Orioles went on to do other things. This album is largely patterned on what they did plus a little more.
The Jerry Lee,Huey Piano Smith fusion dominates,John Potter on piano/vocals with guitar from Vic Collins,Gypie Mayo,Mo Witham and Dennis Masterton.John Bobin and Bill Legend provide the Rhythm section on this album,[they were also the rhythm section on the Jupp's 'Red Boot' album].
The musicians involved here, have between them, been in T-Rex,Dr Feelgood,Kursaal Flyers,Orioles,Legend, Susie Quatros band ,Yardbirds, and Wilko Johnsons Solid Senders. Good pedigrees for a good album.
