Esperanza is spanish for Hope in a time such as this one which warrants the need for it. This album was blessed to have features from Dynas, Ephniko, Infinit, Avie Fresh, Omniscient, Vers one, Thousand thoughts, ABT, Sopheye, Travis Roig, Southwood, Macnificent, and El David. It also features production from Draz of Citation soundz, 1914, Name Brand, Holy Sin, One Take of Unearth prod., Dj Sid, Big Proof, and Orion himself. The album\'s guest appearances was kept in the family as the majority are up and coming from the Miami scene. Why waste your time with a bio when you can hear it all on the album. Definite classic a side of Miami you\'ve never heard before.
Born & raised in Hialeah Orion, is the son of two Cuban immigrants who came here to escape the communist dictatorship that took over their homeland. Hiphop culture consumed Orion at an early age amercing himself in the graffiti aspect of it first. It wasn’t until 2001 that he would pick up the mic, and never let it go. He graduated from Full Sail in September of 2002 obtaining an associates degree in recording engineering.
In 2004 he formed the group secret service with fellow Mc Ephniko. They released an EP entitled “Protecting Dead Presidents” it was an independent venture which circulated the streets of Miami for some time. Performing at night clubs, concerts, open mics, competing in Battles, and any special event he can get to perform at. In 2006 he partnered with One take, and Ephnik to release a compilation entitled “The Movement vol.1 diffusing the science.” The compilation gained praised throughout Miami, and the Internet. Several reviews, interviews, and features were done on the project. Independently its sold close to 3,000 units most of which was either done by the internet, or on the street hustle.
Orion began sharing the stage with Elastic Bond a fusion band based out of Miami. It was instant chemistry with the addition of Orion in the group December 2007 slated the release of Elastic Bond’s 2nd album “Excursion.” The band remains busy performing gigs at a constant basis in Miami. The band offers a blend of Hiphop, jazz, R&B, Electronica, and an assortment of Latin rhythms.
An accomplished artist who keeps grinding towards the next goal Orion has yet to stop. With his new album “Esperanza” wrapped up Orion hopes to take his music career to the next level. An album delivering the positive conscious side of hiphop, and the raunchy reality driven music we\'ve come to know as rap. This is only the beginning besides being a writer who takes pride in always putting out original work. He is also a producer tailor making beats for several Miami artist. The future holds a lot of promise, and he remains optimistic as to the outcome of all his hard work.
