ORkAaN FAbLeS
Three artists interact with an outstanding grip on musical, instrumental and compository skills, including not only composition in the traditional sense of the word, but in a sense that’s best described as „instant composing“.
„Every note counts“ is what Herbie Hancock said.
These musici-ans adopted that statement and transformed it into „every sound, be it in-strumental or from the surrounding area or any other sound happening while we’re playing, counts“.
They play their Laptops and Samplers like they play their real instruments. With virtuosity and soul.
Interaction is the foundation of the group. ORkAaN FAbLeS create a virtual score using two computers, voices, double bass, guitar, piano, and sampler, to give shape to the pictures of the stories told by vocal artist
Hester Boverhuis.
The use of new technology (Laptop) combined with traditi-onal instruments (voice, double bass, guitar, piano) comes naturally to the three musicians. A new ensemble with a new sound.
