Album Notes

Orland Carra started playing guitar at the age of 14 influenced by his grandmother who played piano and wrote songs, and two uncles who gave him his first guitar and showed him a few chords. From there Orland progressed learning more chords, playing in a high school rock band and later a band of his own in Baltimore, Md. After years of down time he emerged again writing songs and performing with a band called 'Manchester Hazard' which he currently performs with in his local area of Wheeling, West Virginia. He has completed about 30 songs to date and 3 CD's the lastest of which, Decibel, contains 10 of his originals. He currently peforms regulary at 'Down on Main Street' - an open mic session and at the Artworks around town's (Art Gallery) coffee house, and several other local venues. He works with other local musicians to produce CD's which are recorded by well known banjo player ED Mahonen at his home studio. Orland writes music from his inner spirit which moves people to feel better about themselves and life in general. He celebrates the sound of harmony and clear and simple melodies with guitar accompaniment.
