By deftly combining the emotional intensity of an intimate acoustic performance with a set of engaging pop-driven melodies, Kris Orlowski has created a sound that is stirring, distinctive, and quintessentially northwestern. Kris's memorable performances have gained him a loyal following, as he brings the audience into his world with soulful vocals and charming onstage personality. He appeals to a diverse audience—the younger crowd is drawn to his catchy melodies and playful antics, while more mature listeners appreciate his nuanced lyrics and relatable sound.

Originally from Bellingham, WA, and now based in Seattle, Kris released his first album, "Progression From a Child" in November 2004. Since then, Kris's music has evolved substantially, to a more developed acoustic/indie/pop sound that fills the airwaves along artists like Elliot Smith and John Mayer. This sound is showcased on his new EP, "The Compromise," released on November 17th. On this album, Kris has taken his raw, heartfelt songs and collaborated with a full band, creating a fuller, richer sound, and presenting a new approach to some of his classic tracks.

Kris's music really shines in his live performances: his blend of emotional vocals, witty onstage dialogue, and guitar is perfectly suited for a concert venue. He plays frequent shows in the Puget Sound area and throughout the Pacific Northwest region. Recent highlights include placing in the final three at the Pacific Idol competition and a performance as part of the University of Puget Sound's "Welcome Back" event.
