Began in 2000 by Bonnie Gardiner as an experiment in sound, Orphic Endeavors' ethereal atmospheric music has been used in the short film "Waiting for Something" directed by John Clifton Gardiner and the documentary "America's Most Haunted Inns: Bucks County PA" directed by Robert Child as well as several other video and film projects. If you like movie soundtracks, ambient soundscapes or even some Myst-like or Schizm-like video game music you will enjoy Orphic Endeavors.
All of Orphic Endeavors' music is in the style of movie or game soundtracks, ambient, and instrumental. There is a mix of synths, orchestra, occassional percussion and recorded sounds blended together. My primary influences are the soundtracks of the classic PC games Myst and Riven by Robyn Miller, but I am also influenced by Depeche Mode instrumentals, and artists like Delerium, Enigma, Amethystium and others though my own music tends to sound more dark ambient and creepy.
I am an at-home mom with a few instruments, a nice computer and lots of time on her hands while the kids are at school. I am also a visual artist, writer, and animator. To see more of my projects, please visit my websites at orphicendeavors.com and bpgisme.com.
