Album Notes

Eyes of Osiris is the culmination of 18 months of research, writing, and recording by Jay Messier and Mike Ross.

A conceptual depiction of ancient Egypt, the album blends hard rock riffs with hook-laden pop melodies and harmonies, weaving a science fiction yarn that their influences Blue Oyster Cult and Iron Maiden could only dream of.

Eyes of Osiris is a semi-fictional account of the life and death of King Tut, his dealings with an alien race, and the unstoppable collective will of the ancient peoples to drive the invaders from Earth.

This album has it all: blistering guitars, screaming vocals, intelligent lyrics, and a touch of chanting.

You will be left wondering, "Who really built the pyramids?"

Gotta Buy It

Really cool CD. It has an original hard-edged progressive sound, much like Iron Maiden. I liked the vocals and the whole concept. Good stuff coming from Connecticut!

Good Songwriting/recording

I was there when it was being recorded. Extremely impressive is the fact that Jay recorded this on an 8 track reel to reel by himself. It would be impossible to imagine how good this album would be if it had a label sized budget, and a separate producer. Given the fact that it still sounds great is a miracle. Jay pulled this off. Not to mention great songwriting. Check out the major to minor switch in the Not Of This Earth chorus.

I knew those god damn Messier kids from they used to steal porno mags from my store. I always knew they would make it. Whether they were drinking Iron Brew soda from 1954 or enjoying one of my world famous steak grinders, I knew those kids had talent. I just want to say next to Frank Sinatra this CD gets played the second most in my store. So congratulations to you slack-jawed yokels. Kenni
