Album Notes

OSMIUM started as a metal band in the 1980's (Osmium is the heaviest metal) and has evolved into Rock, Pop and Punk. We sound like Aerosmith meets Green Day. Play us LOUD and scare the neighbors.

Hear the great tunes that are featured in two movies and on Nash Bridges, Nickelodeon, MTV and HBO.

OSMIUM is a "band of bands" formed with
• John Wall - Songwriter, guitar, backing vocals
• Allan Morgan - Songwriter, keyboards and vocalist with "Pop Machine" Check out his 365 blogsite where he posts a new song EVERY DAY for a year!
• Dave Waterbury - Studio owner, producer, bassist with "Spirit" & noted Los Angeles session player. See Dave’s website on the "links" section. He runs a great recording studio in Valley Village, CA -- near Hollywood.

Tracks feature guest musicians such as Scott Sookman (from "Pop Machine" and "The Cheeseburgers" and Osmium co-founder), and several L.A. session players such as Jimmy Powers (Harmonica), Sandi Currie (vocals), Dan Singer (vocals), and Dave Robinson (Drums).

You can check out the cool Pop Machine site using the link on this page.

OSMIUM Still Livin at Home is Rock, punk and pop to rattle the windows - 22 awesome tracks for $10!

Be sure to check out the OSMIUM MySpace link for tons of photos and some new songs!

A Music Biography: John Wall and OSMIUM

John has been playing guitar since he was 12 and writing original music since he was 17. His songs vary in style but all feature solid rhythms, memorable melodies, and entertaining lyrics. After co-founding OSMIUM in 1982 with Scott Sookman, John set out in 1992 to record master quality songs for the recording industry, television, and films. He began working with well known Studio Owner and Producer Dave Waterbury, who has several International tours under his belt as a bassist (Spirit, The Boxtops), and has worked with such luminaries as Gene Simmons (Kiss) and Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers) among others. Singer, Songwriter, and Keyboardist Allan Morgan (Pop Machine) rounds out this talented team.

National radio tuned into OSMIUM, featuring "President’s Song" on the Doctor Demento nationally syndicated radio show during the 1992 Presidential Election Campaign, and "G.O.P. (Grand Old Punk)" in 1998. In the Baltimore/Washington, DC area, radio played OSMIUM's retro-Beach Boys "Mustang", the Frank Zappa-esque "Townhouse Ghetto", and the Yell-Along Rocker "Bad Hair Day."

Success in the film soundtrack arena occurred when the Punk Rocker "Skateboard Phreak" was picked for the title slot in the Concorde film The Skateboard Kid, and the ever popular "Bad Hair Day" was licensed for use in the independent film NoHo. Publisher Master Source has signed three of OSMIUM's songs, including them on their CD set for soundtrack use by television and film Music Supervisors. "President’s Song" was licensed by Nickelodeon for their new series Cousin Skeeter, in October 1998. "Still Livin’ at Home" was featured on the CBS series Nash Bridges (episode “Pump Action”) in the 1999 season. Six songs were licensed for use in the film Taking the Turf and 2 for Cons, both Independent films doing film festivals in 2000. "Teacher in Traction" was featured on MTV's dating show "Next" in 2007.

The first OSMIUM CD "Still Livin' at Home" featuring 22 cuts was released by Road Rash Music, John's indy record label. OSMIUM has several music publishing deals, and continues to seek placements for film, TV, videogames and ringtones. OSMIUM has continued to record and has a catalog of over 60 songs.

Hey everybody, CBS TV just used my tune "Still Livin' at Home" on their show Nash Bridges! OSMIUM proves that even conservative NETWORK TV can be COOL sometimes!!! The CD has sold at Tower Records here in Virginia, and is popular with some Brain Dead Rockers in Los Angeles (my West Coast Home), including Wrong Way Studios in Burbank. Check out the downloads and if THEY SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU, then you can buy the CD.
