Album Notes

This album is an important step for 'Otherside', as it neatly bookends the first phase! From the first demos that were recorded, through to all the songs on the 'Veil Of Tears' E.P. and the 3 track 'Swept Away [Tidal Mix]' singles.

'Audible Traces - Vol.1' also includes various musical odds-and-ends .. songs that didn't make the debut album ('Looking For The Fine Line') and songs that were discarded along the journey . There's even a song that was given to a colleague as a special birthday present!

' .. Traces' ends the first chapter in 'Otherside's story. We can now look forward to a 2nd studio album, to be released later in 2007.

For now, enjoy this collection of the first 2 official 'Otherside' single releases and their diamonds-in-the-rough nuggets, that really are .. pure gold.

06 Swept Away [Sidewinder Mix]. (Track 02 from the 'Swept Away' single. Remixed by Luton Falls).

07 Off The Cuff [Demo]. (Track 03 from the 'Swept Away' single).

08 Emotionally Impaired [Incomplete Mix.1]. (First version of the opener from 'Looking For The Fine Line').

09 Happy Birthday, Hilly! (Recorded 24/07/05. Impromptu version recorded in 2 hours and given to a friend of Trev and Ken's).

10 Otherside (Unreleased song). Recorded 25/05/06.

11 Summer Song (Karina In Blue)[Track]. (Track 01 from the disc Ken gave to Trev to work on. Eventually used on 'Looking For The Fine Line' in a totally re-recorded form).

12 Get With The Program [Track]. (Track 02 from the disc Ken gave to Trev to work on. Never worked on any furthur).

13 Subject To Change [Track]. (Track 03 from the disc Ken gave to Trev to work on. Eventually used on 'Looking For The Fine Line' in a remixed, re-recorded form).

14 Subtle Strengths [Track]. (Track 04 from the disc Ken gave to Trev to work on. Ken eventually finished this with vocals and used it on a forthcoming independent album. This version, however; has never seen the light of day).

15 Dub Schematic [Track]. (Track 05 from the disc Ken gave to Trev to work on. Never worked on any furthur).

16 Welcome [Version.2]. (This was to be the opener for 'Looking For The Fine Line', but was scrapped late in the day).

17 Swept Away [Rough Mix.1 - Track]. Recorded 22/06/06, features here in a very different mix to what was eventually released. This version utilises a bass part that was totally scrapped.

18 Between Two Points [Mix.3]. This is an earlier, much rawer mix of a song that was eventually used on 'Looking For The Fine Line'

19 Veil Of Tears [Rough Mix - Scratch Vox]. Recorded 01/01/06 (New Years Day). A lovely, different version of the song that appeared on 'Looking For The Fine Line'. Missing many instrumental parts .. this is a "bare bones" version.

20 Finders Keepers [Track]. Released on the Kebabylon Productions Indiestore. Original version to be found on 'Looking For The Fine Line'.

21 A Part Of Me [Track]. Original version to be found on 'Looking For The Fine Line'.
