Album Notes

The eagerly awaited 3rd studio album from British Indie Rockers Otherside has finally arrived! After 12 months of touring and recording, 13 songs were picked by the band for the new album 'There's No Grey In Black', including fan-favourites 'Only The Prettiest Will Do', 'Wide Asleep' and 'Dead Cold Heart'. As soon as Deborah and Ken finished the last studio album 'Everything Turns To Rust', they recruited Alan Roberts and Stuart Carroll on bass and drums respectively and toured the album, while setting about writing the new one. Writing and recording took place between September '07 and September '08 .. a solid 12 months! Naturally, with Alan and Stuart in place, Otherside's sound changed. They became a truly multi-textured band and this resulted in a far more diverse album than it's predecessor. The new album also benefited by being recorded at 96hz (instead of cd's normal 44.1), which allowed more headroom on this recording and at a sampling rate of 24bit (instead of the normal 16bit, which can add to that "digital harshness" sound). 'There's No Grey In Black' sounds full, dynamic, with every cadence rendered faithfully. Otherside are sure you will approve. They're still moving in the same direction, but this time .. with more colours to their pallette. Afterall: 'There's No Grey In Black'!
