Album Notes

The Ottomen started in the fall of 1995 when Jim Campbell and Misung Stevenson began recording demos in the dorms of the Kansas City Art Institute. They added drummer George Garcia (KCAI, painting, class of 2000) in 1996.

"Adventures at the Shore" is the third (and widely considered the best) of three 4-track cassette produced albums made by the original lineup of the Ottomen, and the last Ottomen project recorded in Kansas City.

The Ottomen continue to this day in St Louis, Missouri with Misung still on guitar and vocals. They have released 2 and are working on a third Ottomen album with the new St. Louis lineup featuring bassist Justin DiCenzo. Jim Campbell moved to New York in 2000 and continues to play Rock and Roll with his new band Paper Fleet.

I recommend smoking some medicinals before listening to this album. It fully enriches the experience. Funny stuff.
