Album Notes
“…an especially bizarre case of one man's vision turning into sound with almost no filter in between.”
(Northeast Performer, July 2008)

“Ouellette’s style blends high drama and deadpan quirkiness (imagine Klaus Nomi covering The B-52’s).”
(Bay Windows, March 2008)

For several years Daniel Ouellette has been performing his insightful blend of new wave and world music to the delight of audiences big and small in the U.S.,
Canada and Europe. On October 28th, 2008 NEW SHINER will release the KAIJU CARNIVAL EP, just in time for Halloween!

The KAIJU CARNIVAL EP is monstrous fun;
an exaggerated romp through some of Daniel's greatest lyrical themes set to industrial noise, stomping beats and swirling electronics. Featured songs “She Went to
a Moustache Party” and “Stigmata and Cookies” provide a hard edge sonically to balance Ouellette’s shock-filled lyrics, while tracks “LUST” and “A Cup of Tea for
the Dalai Lama” set the listener to drift away with throbbing synthesizers and glorious vocals. The final track “Euoplocephalus” (the dinosaur prize found on the cover of the EP) is a mashing dance track for a souvenir. The EP features guest performer, co-writer and producer Scott Harrison from new wave band BURNT FUR, and
special guest vocals by Jillybean! It's rare to find music that is humorous AND entertaining, but Daniel Ouellette comes through on both accounts with an equally
interesting live show.

The KAIJU CARNIVAL EP is a limited release of 100 copies.
