This, the first album from prog rock/metal band Outgunned is an inspiring debut from a relatively unknown, though promising artist. Though its quality suffers (only slightly) from a somewhat lo-fi production, it is an album that more than compensates with a striking palette of melodies and emotions, filtered through thoughtful lyrics, smart songwriting, solid riffs and a stellar sound. If you like Dream Theater, King's X or the like, then download and enjoy.

This is a very good album.

It's hard to put a label on Outgunned's music, since they've found their own special style. It has a lot of different elements in it, including metal. I would not call this progressive music. The different style of each track is surprising to the listener. You'll have to listen through this CD several times before you really get to know it, and when you do you will probably love it. I agree with the author: Alexis. It's a bit short, but the music makes up for that. I hope vol. 2 will be 50-60 minutes or so, and I also hope OUTGUNNED will continue experimenting with their sound.

What i really think.
author: Alexis
I immediately fell in love with Outgunned when I heard House of Cards. The lyrics are so poignant and real. I received a sampler for my birthday from Mr. Saunders and I really enjoyed it...all except for it was too short. This CD definitely makes up for that and I am looking forward to Vol. II!
THANKS OUTGUNNED!
