Album Notes

Outpost is a Portland band that fuses rock, reggae, funk & hip-hop to create premium dancing music. Their focus is to combine lively music with a conscious message and positive energy. In their short time they have amassed a vibrant following and have played shows from Portland to NorCal.

Outpost is fronted by a trio of oregonians who met in college. tmpILL, SpecialGuest, & P.Hill push the message with high energy vocals. With SpecialGuest on guitar, a pair of east coasters tie the sound together with Oscar on drums and Tyler Stauss on bass.

Outpost is playing new venues and pulling in new audiences with every show. Each day the message reaches farther and the music rocks harder.

A throw back to 60's-70's

I must say that after watching and throughly enjoy the live performance at Darling, I was more then amped to buy the record. I have my all time favorites (Crows, Time Passes By), however, I find the whole album to be a wonderfully, creative outlet and acknowledgment for the problems we face today. It is a powerful, moving, and upbeat album that will speak, on some level, to everyone!! Highly recommended feel good music!!

Thanks for the new music, guys. I really like your sound. "Crows" gets stuck in my head all the damn time. If you decide to tour for a bit, try here in Lexington -- we have a little venue (The Dame) which hosts a lot of underground music. Cheers to all of you and please record more songs, damn it.

good times with laid back vibes

overall, it was really good. my mom, nearing 60 and a fan of the oldies, and i both agreed that we liked the laid back vibes and the chill atmosphere the music created. the music itself was awesome - i loved the beats and melodies. there wasn't a song that i didn't feel myself bopping along to - and it was actually relaxing to listen to. through each song, i felt like i drifted away to another place where priorities and stresses were non-existant. awesome job - when are you guys hitting the east coast??
