Album Notes

From Nashville, TN, Dustin Overbeek is a singer/songwriter whose songs explore much further reaching boundaries. Growing up with influences ranging from James Taylor and Bob Dylan to Marvin Gaye and John Coltrane, the content in Dustin’s writing reflects introspection into the concerns of the human spirit. One Step Closer is Dustin's first full band project using some of the best session players in Nashville. This is his breakout album and shows that his songwriting is improving all the time.

Its hard to pick a favorite. Sometimes I think its Damn the Rain or maybe Letter to Carolyn. But there are so many other great songs. I have heard his music mature over the last 4 or 5 years, heard dozens of songs by him. These are some of his finest. I highly recommend you see him live if possible and check out his Grounded CD. Its absolutely great.
