Album Notes

Dylan Owen is a 16 year-old rap artist from Orange County, New York.

Although at a young age, his intellectual rap is a breath of fresh air from the genre's common usage, with lyrics of metaphors, fluency, and cleverness all rolled into one. He's a performer and a rapper, taking listeners from the chilled-vibe music to the intensity of mental instability. The original aura accompanying Dylan Owen is one of raw creativity, for he began rapping as the vocalist for a reggae-rap band and continued on into an acoustic-rap duo. Locally, he's gained a name for battling, and contrarily has been published in several poetry books.

This debut EP has potential for all music fans, blending rap/poetic lyrics and a catchy flow with involved musical backdrops that go hand-in-hand with each song's mood. Every track differs severly, ranging from jazzy guitar riffs (composer majoring in jazz guitar school) to strings to an acoustic song alone with live instruments. A Living Inverse promises interest throughout, and maybe an attachment the more you listen.
