"Trippy, mellow pop songs... [with] an almost dreamlike quality." - J.R. Oliver, www.earcandymag.com
"E.T.R. is a delightfully dreamy lo-fi album... More than I can describe in a small way. The album is all over the place in reference to styles and instrumentation. I love it. At times it reminds me of Dump or Lou Barlow home recordings. Other times I think I hear elements from South America. I think the Residents are in there somewhere along with Stereolab and TMBG. It’s not so discordant that it doesn’t flow, though. He is making some crafty mutated pop music here. The album has a very atmospheric quality to it.. The sounds sort of surround or envelop you. Awesome album! I’ve worn it out." - www.mog.com/fistula_spume

Spencer is a God!
author: Lisa Tenney
Spencer Owen deserves to be touring and posing for magazine covers! He is little known, but highly appreciated, and I can't wait for the day that Spencer really strikes it big. ETR is subtle and beautiful, check out his other records too, this man is not to be forgotten!
