Album Notes

Since his younger age, Richard (otherwise known as Ozny) had a great natural interest in music. It was in his ninth year of age that he began to receive piano lessons with classical formation. At recital, he managed to receive Superior ratings from the Royal Schools of Music, around the same time he started to compose songs in a semi-classical Rock style. His desire for creativity led him to compose music that would start catching the attention of his peers. Friends, family and teachers encourged his art, while some others expressed dislike, but this only led Richard to write more impressive and original compositions.
Meanwhile, technology began to take hold of his attention. He started programming various types of computer applications in BASIC and C++. This love for computers may have distracted him from his music for a moment, but not for long. Once he discovered the world of MIDI and electronic instruments, he knew his new obsession.
Since this time, he spends nearly every waking moment in his studio working on his craft. His first release, Optical is hard to classify. Though it incorporates elements of Drum & Bass, Ambient/IDM, Rock, House and more, it is none of the above. We don't know exactly what it is, all we know is that this is a one of a kind style we haven't heard before, but want to hear more of!
