Album Notes

HEY NOW! Since I DO sell a bunch more of these at gigs than I do here, I thought I might give CDBaby a little push in sales by reducing the price for you, the end-user. Get one now at this ridiculously low price for this 14 song epic!

LET'S START RIGHT OFF WITH SOME EXTREMELY IMPORTANT CAUTIONARY NOTES!
*************

1.) A faintly tangible smell and texture of corruption emanates from this small disc of etched plastic, and although children seem magically drawn to it (as to forbidden fruit) they should not be encouraged to delve into the lyrics too deeply. This should be left to those (of whatever age) who are of a more stoic nature and less prone to morbid fantasies.

2.) For those who seek less introspective diversion, you must search elsewhere, as these halls contain no disco, jazz, acid-jazz, punk, new wave, rap, or hip-hop.

3.) If you enjoy unusually brilliant and different production values with uncommon depth and creativity, enter and welcome to a true delight for audiophiles! Headphones on, lights out...

AND SO, TO THE CRUX OF THE MATTER!
**********

Where have you been, my eldritch children?

Come, enter the world of Dark Dreams and explore a landscape inhabited by dispossessed and anxious spirits, wandering the ozone in search of rest and sanctuary.

Pull your cloak around you tightly to ward off the howling winds and proceed to the moldering edifice on the near horizon, built on the bones of human misery.

Once inside, you will be shown visions of vast and terrible tidal waves; psychopathic rage; the damned and deluded; furtive unanswered prayers; reckless escape; empty love; the soul-stunting horrors of war; and the kiss of the vampire.
Once witnessed, you must decide whether these visions and soundscapes were conjured by the soul of an evil djinn, or a scarred and dispassionate angel.

Listen well and make your choice carefully, as the advancement or decline of your very spirit may depend upon it!

Listen well, and I bid you Dark Dreams...

REVIEWS

Very professionally done. Excellent vocals, lyrics, and guitar.
author: Greg Wakeman
My wife and I have seen Ozone play several times. We bought the CD and loved it. Some of the lyrics are haunting, some about real life. Some about love, deep and real. The music and engineering are as professional as any. Several of the songs could/should get radio airplay. This is no amature production...this is among the best.

good all around americana and rock and roll
author: Chris Harwood
Great voice..and really good guitar playing and sound. The CD is worth it if only for the song Breakdown Lane. If you don't tap your foot to this, you're probably deceased.

As cool as cool gets. Like if you freebased Tom Waits...
author: Shandy Lawson
Dark but not depressing in the tradition of recent Leonard Cohen. Musically diverse, from acoustic folk ballad to busted-up screamin' hard rock. The lyrics are fascinatingly poetic and packed with bizarre foreboding images of monsters and the apocalypse, but meant to elicit an intelligent response rather than fear... genius.

..."the real deal".
author: Bruce Pratt, Artistic Director: Roaring Brook Concerts And Hartl
Yeah this record should have been made a long time ago, but there was too much going on. I know because I was getting tossed around in that vortex too. Ozone was always living it so one day he could tell it. Tell it he does. If you ever wonder why you make music, or love music, or make love to music just listen to Dark Dreams. This is the real deal. There are no self-aggrandizing lyrics or showoff riffs. This is inventive yet familiar music and song. Ozone can play guitar, harp and sing with anyone, and now we know he can write with them as well. These songs sing of all the nights, all the stories, the lies, the ripoffs, the glories, the really mad things done, and do so without regret or phoney nostalgia. It isn't like anyone else's record because Ozone isn't like anyone else. If I knew two guys like him I'd have been dead long ago. Some people arrive before they should, Ozone has been knocking at the door for too long. Buy the damn CD and let him in. You won't ever have a better friend. As good as ol
