Album Notes

Formed in 1996 on the campus of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA, Pacemaker Jane has been building a solid and steady following in the local area and through the internet after years of writing, recording, and playing live shows. Their music has received frequent airplay on independent commercial and college radio stations across Ohio, used as the theme music for a popular internet podcast, selected for the soundtrack for a surfing DVD, and featured on the Alternative Independent section of Clear Channel Online Radio. Pacemaker Jane features Toledo-area natives Brian May (guitar, vocals) and Kevin Masney (bass), as well as Cleveland-area natives Jared Levengood (guitar, vocals) and Ernie Richmann (drums, percussion). Inspired by musical groups and styles too numerous to list, Pacemaker Jane falls somewhere across the categories of post-modern pop and alternative rock. They have been compared to the bands Cake, Weezer, and Sublime. Their songs feature crafty vocal harmonies, catchy lead guitar licks, curiously offbeat lyrics, vintage keyboard sounds, and a strong, thumping rhythm section to keep the music flowing. Their debut album American Crumbs will be released in November of 2006 with much anticipation and is receiving an excellent response from listeners and critics worldwide. Sampling elements of pop, rock, metal, jazz, ska, latin, punk and classical, this album has 14 diverse tracks that offer a little something for everyone. Expect to find an unexpected attraction to their peculiar style of music.
