This album of Canciones de Amor is in duet with Quentin Navia, founder of SUKAY and Yuri Ortuño (Proyeccion) who is considered one of the greatest all-time voices of Bolivia. It is the second in a series, the first of which is SUKAY Love Songs of the Andes. The vocals are accompanied by great instrumentals on kena, siku (pan-pipes), charango, guitar and percussion.
The international touring and recording group SUKAY has performed in thousands of venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, Smithsonian Institute and in concerts on world class stages and festivals from the Yukon to China.

With deep sounding pipes, haunting flutes and fast-paced rhythms played on a guitar-like instrument made from the shell of an armadillo, SUKAY creates an ethereal, pulsating sound that fills listeners with the energy and strenth of the Andes. Like an orchestra, Sukay draws from a broad palette of exotic sounds: the deep, sharp, airy lasts of the medieval-sounding toyos (pan pipes with graduated tubes up to 5 feet long); the high, vocal inflections of the kena (notched flute); the shimmering ring of the charango (a mandolin-like instrument made from an armadillo shell); and the resonant tones and muted percussive drive of the classical guitar.

Sukay (Pachamama) was founded by Quentin Navia and is directed by Bolivia's great composer and virtuoso of the charango, Eddy Navia. The charango is a traditional Bolivian stringed instrument. Eddy became Sukay's artistic director in 1989, and he brought the musicianship of the group to new heights. He was a founding member of the famous Bolivian group Savia Andina, with whom he recorded 35 albums. Savia Andina was a major force in bringing Andean music into the mainstream, hitting the Top 40 charts.
