Album Notes

Chuck grew up in Seattle, and Lori is from upstate New York – so, they're Pacific Buffalo. They bring with them a varied musical / lyrical background that includes rock, folk, jazz, blues, classical, New Orleans, and Seattle influences.

The album EARTH TONES opens with an attitude. “Breaking News” is a unique anti-war track with a chorus by Lori that will knock your socks off.

“American Dreamer and “Wall Street Windows” tell a tale many of us know all too well -- about bailouts, foreclosures, and life “here on the pavement.”

“Inspiration” combines a jazzy groove and smooth harmonies with congas, classical guitar, and trumpets, while asking, “Hey, where can I find some inspiration? In a pill, or a bottle, or on vacation?”

“Dan the Tree Man,” “Fern Canyon,” and “Desert Bird” are three anthems to the earth, and the inspiration for the album’s title.

The last song, “Old Man in the Surf,” combines a rockin’ surfer beat with an environmental message and Chuck's wonderful vocals.

This album gets you dancing, and thinking, and feeling great.
