On the Floor is the first single from the North East pop/rock/indie group Pacific, written by the band to get away from just being a cover band, On the Floor is a lively and upbeat song, with simple chords, fun drums and Katherine Penney's trademark "piano twinkley" section. Cailean Stewart's trademark bass playing is present, having recently recovered from a broken finger. Tom's drumming is as ferocious and energetic as ever and the introduction harmonies in the chorus lend to an altogether more rich sound to the group's first single.
