Album Notes

"I'm a big fan of artists who can remain faithful to the roots sound while blending in other elements, and Pacific Vibrations does it well", says DJ BAHILMAN of CREATION STEPPIN' Online Radio. So well, in fact, that Pacific Vibration's first CD came in at #7 on his top picks of 2003. He went on to say of the band's single ROOTS LIVING, " I don't often get a new tune that has me hitting the replay button over and over like this."

In 2001, KERRY WING returned to California after what he called "musically inspiring" travels in Brazil. He soon formed PACIFIC VIBRATIONS, which has since grown to become a major force in the evolution of reggae music.

PACIFIC VIBRATIONS is known for their energetic performances and inspirational songwriting. Their original style is based on roots reggae, with a unique blend of the California psychedelic sound and world rhythms. "Pacific Vibrations' music, whether mellow or more driving, is strongly rhythmic. But unique to this band is an infusion of other genres. There is also plenty of room for improvisation... The songs' themes stress unity among humankind," wrote Stacy Trevanon of the HALF MOON BAY REVIEW. Conscious and spiritual, the "lyrics are aimed to make a change in the world", noted CHUCK FOSTER of THE BEAT MAGAZINE.

PACIFIC VIBRATIONS' self-titled and self-produced debut CD came out in the spring of 2003. It has gained national and international acclaim and radio play. It has topped many charts, including a #2 hit at R.A.W. REGGAE on KPRG, in the Mariana Islands.

The band has been playing major venues, as well as festivals such as San Francisco's renown REGGAE IN THE PARK, RENEGADE'S MT. SHASTA WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL, and the MONTEREY BAY REGGAE FESTIVAL. They headlined at UC Davis' WHOLE EARTH FESTIVAL, and have played along side such luminaries as STEEL PULSE, LUCIANO, SIZZLA, EEK A MOUSE, BEENIE MAN, BURNING SPEAR, and ISRAEL VIBRATION. The band has also befriended MIKEY DREAD, opening for him on several occasions. Front men and brothers, KERRY and AIDAN WING have preformed their music through out the world, in Africa, Europe, Central and South America and the Pacific Islands.

Since June of 2004, the band has been busy working on the eagerly awaited album "Eastern Sun". This year PACIFIC VIBRATIONS will embark on touring and will continue spreading conscious verse and contagious beat to those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience the PACIFC VIBES.
