betty padgett was born in newport, new jersey. at an early age the family moved to florida where she went to school and began to sing in the church choir. betty padgett made her first career move in 1974. she formed an all girls group. they were known as betty and the q's.the group consisted of three other ladies, shirley smith, mary mccoy and carolyn griffin. betty padgett went on to join a local band out of ft. lauderdale, florida. she began to perform in many surronding cities in florida. (west palm beach, daytona beach and miami up to the georgia line). betty toured overseas in switzerland, germany, paris, mexico, and belize, with recording artist joey gilmore. in 1976 betty padgett recorded her first album ,"sugar daddy". in 1981 released her second album "sweet feelings". betty padgett has been the opening act for many artist including denise lasalle, johnny taylor, betty wright, bobby bland and many more. in 2004 betty released, "closet lover", which features her single, "crazy over you". this album is ready to be apart of your music collection. listen to the selected cuts for your listening pleasure.this album has been added to the blues network which includes forty three
