This debut CD by Alaska's premier mandolin player is already stirring up commotion in the acoustic music scene not just in Anchorage, but all over the state. These songs have at the their core provocative melodies further enhanced by an outstanding line-up of Alaskan musicians. Joe already has the reputation as a stellar mandolin player in Alaska's hottest bluegrass bands. With his new CD, they'll discover the culmination of over three decades of musical creations by one of Alaska's greatest songwriters.

Joe has opened up for many of bluegrass and country's greatest music acts including Bill Monroe, the David Grisman Quintet, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Riders in the Sky. He has been a featured guest with David Grisman on several occasions, creating a lasting relationship that has helped put Alaska on the map for it's exceptional bluegrass and new acoustic music. With Joe's newest album Alaska Mando, he his proving that the music scene in Alaska is alive and well.
