Album Notes

Kevin Pakulis' second album, mockingbird radio, is one of the best Americana albums of the year. Songwriting at a very high level, masterful guitar work, and gritty, soulful vocals. Big, fat grooves you could drive a truck through. "Kevin Pakulis outright nails it. His music represents the best of a genre". ...No Depression Magazine.

A feel good album for those who remember how to feel good
author: John Book, Music For America
Is Mockingbird Radio, the second album from Tucson, Arizona singer/songwriter Kevin Pakulis, "one of the best Americana albums of the year"? Upon listening, this is easily a contender for one of the best so far. What struck me about Pakulis' music immediately was the conviction in his guitar and vocals, kind of a cross between Warren Zevon, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen. Each song are snapshots of Pakulis' life, from driving to places and finding nothing, to finding irresistible women at truck stops throughout the Southwest, perhaps for a taste of sleazy times. His songs make you want to cheer, laugh, cry, and perhaps go back to the times when you lived in a similar way. The guitar riffs are deep and tasty, and Pakulis is the kind of guy who supplies music that becomes "the soundtrack of your life", or a time worth reminiscing about. A feel good album for those who remember how to feel good.

Rockin' music, kevin shines on this one, and what a back up band!

This CD rocks! The lyrics - listen close to some excellent lines "its an empty man who is full of himself" I love the chorus of discontents. And the guitar picking, Kevin at his best...love this CD
