On "Psychedelicate", Pal is more pensive and weathered, bringing together a strong band of her favorite musician friends, to give us songs that are much darker than her previous work. A side of Pal and her work that's only been hinted at previously.

Album Notes

Pal brings together a strong band of her favorite musician friends, and let's their styles come to the fore on "Psychedelicate". From the comic blues of "The Policeman" to the bluegrass of "Plain Jane" and Welcome Baby" to the eerie Miles inspired jazz of "Eternity", a wide range is explored here.

On top of all this Pal is more pensive and weathered than we've ever heard from her before. "Psychedelicate" is much darker than her previous work, yet we find "Strangers" to be a sensuous waltz, and the spoken lyrics of "When I First Met You" are decisive yet tentative.

A side of Pal and her work that's only been hinted at previously.
