Album Notes

Pamela Hanson is a singer-songwriter based in Northern California, who accompanies her voice with piano and guitar. She has performed extensively as a soloist in North America, Scandinavia, and Japan, and as a member of a trio on cruise ships all over the Western Hemisphere and Europe.

In 1991 Pamela became the piano accompanist at Unity Temple in Santa Cruz, which led to Music Directorship 1994-1995, and has been a featured performing artist at Unity conferences. She was also the accompanist for Pacific Voices, a sixty-member choir in Northern California.

Pamela taught music at Capitola Elementary School and now has a business giving private music lessons. She is currently appearing in entertainment locations in the Bay Area of Northern California, as well as performing for private parties, weddings, churches, memorials, and corporate events.

Pamela’s CD of original pieces, "Not Too Far to See", focuses on the spiritual journey, seeking the light of faith in even the most fragile and painful experiences. With the power of her music behind them, her lyrics are at once uplifting, emotional, and passionate.

This CD is timeless.  Pamela has the voice of an angel, and the soul of one as well.  This is a breathtaking collection of songs, each flowing seamlessly into the next.  I find myself going into a kind of dream state as I listen, and emerge soothed, calmed, and encouraged.  Leaves you wanting more.

Never too far to feel

How often can you say a CD saved you ? That helped you make sense of events you were going thru at a particular time in Life? Well, I can say this about Pamela Hanson's "Not too far to see" . In fact, I met her right at the time she was releasing this album and for me, personaly, timing couldn't have been better, since I was going thru emotions that really benefited from her Music, lyrics, voice and message.
From time to time this CD makes its way back to my CD player, and when that happens it stays there for a long time.

I met Pamela on the Regal Princess in 1995.   When I walked into the lounge and heard her sing I was absolutely stunned at the amazing voice and feeling of this gifted artist.  Knowing her personally and all that she's been through makes her singing all the more convincing.  She is one of the best singers I've ever heard.
