Album Notes

PAMELA WENG holds a Masters of Humanities degree in Music Technology and Art History from the University of Colorado at Denver. She began studying music at the age of five, and almost immediately began winning piano competitions.

In creating her Masters thesis, Pamela combined her love for art with her love for music, recording and producing a CD of "sound paintings" entitled EARTH TONES that also employs the talents of acclaimed Colorado musicians Drew Morell, Ted Reece, Calvin Standing Bear, Larry Thompson, and Harvey Thurman.

Dear Pamela

I'm playing your CD "Earthtones" this morning, whilst I'm working. I have so much to do this week, that I felt the stress levels rise across my neck, shoulders and back. So I went for a 4 mile run, shower, breakfast, read for 30 minutes then put your CD into my PC to start working. It's lovely, I'm floating while I'm working and the tension is seeping out of me.
