Album Notes

Pam Parker's lush melodious voice wraps around classic covers and upbeat originals to spread messages of angst, triumph, and love.

She has spent many years as a social/justice singer, performing at anti death penalty benefits, AIDs awareness seminars, women's marches, and peace rallies around the country.

She is a Washington DC native who sang mezzo-soprano with the Capital Hill chorale and lead with the Heart of Maryland Chorus before finding her voice as a singer in a progressive rock/ blues band.

She has recently released her first CD entitled "Working Class." You can contact her directly at www.pamparker.com Joe Uehlein has played rock n' roll, blues, rhythm & blues, soul, folk, folk/rock, country, blue grass, and jazz.

Joe's first album, was in the country and bluegrass genre and was entitled "Groundwork - Songs Of Working People" His second album "Solidarity Day" was a live recording of music and speeches from that ¾ of a million person labor rally in Washington DC.

Joe is also a founding member of "The Bones of Contention" and produced their first CD entitled "Power." Joe played lead guitar and sang on a number of the songs.

Dave Osborne joined "The Bones of Contention" in March of 2001.

Dave came from the rock/funk band "Ominous", where he was exposed to reggae, funk, blues, and jazz.

Dave originally came from strictly a rock background, but has successfully interwoven various styles of drumming into an interesting musical concept with The Bones of Contention.

Gerry Royston burst onto the DC rock scene in 1981 after picking up the bass guitar at the age of 30.

Within six weeks he was playing on stage for DC's first bureaucratic new wave band, the "Action Memos".

Gerry is also an established marathon runner and will be running in the 2002 Boston Marathon.Dave has also appeared on several popular national television shows.

JaLeo was formed in 1993 by Mike Wheaton.

Growing up in the Dominican Republic, Mike became familiar with Merengue and Salsa.

JaLeo's original songs are written by Mike Wheaton and Brian Price.

The duo has won critical acclaim nationally and locally, in the Billboard Magazine Song Contest and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

In addition, Mike received Wammy nominations in 1994 for Alternative Rock vocal and 1995 for Latin vocal.
