Album Notes

A melodic hard rock band from Pennsylvania, Pan.a.ce.a has been a staple of the local original music scene for several years. The band has steadily built a loyal fan base by coupling high-energy, crowd-pleasing shows with dynamic, thought-provoking and exceptionally well-written songs. Their first EP, Anodyne, and the full-length album, All or Nothing, have sold a combined total of 5,000 copies in the relatively small area of Northeastern-PA alone. A remixed and re-mastered version of All or Nothing will be released nationally by Susquehanna Entertainment on February 17th, 2009. With a new label and manager, plus a stellar new album in the works, this band is destined for greatness.

From the first EP, the members of Pan.a.ce.a (Tim Farley-vocals, Paul Young-guitar and Kevin Harry-drums) have worked very closely with producer Bret Alexander at Saturation Acres Recording Studio. Bret is best known as the musical director and producer of the Badlees (Polydor/A&M) and more recently as the producer of the Breaking Benjamin recordings that led to their success. The band's recent addition of bass player Matt Jaffin has rounded out the line up. The talent and drive of Pan.a.ce.a combined with the production savvy and mentoring of Bret has proved to be a phenomenally potent combination.

Plans for the summer include a tour of fairs and festivals throughout the Mid-Atlantic States, spots on satellite and internet radio shows and playing their usual club dates all over PA. While the band continues its heavy playing schedule, they will also be hard at work in the studio, writing and recording tracks for the next album, which is slated for a September 2009 release.

Pan.a.ce.a has been crowned best regional band five different times by the local press as well as twice been rewarded with the honor of Album of the Year by regional polls. Prior to signing with Susquehanna, they were voted the "best unsigned band in the country" in a reader's choice poll by Rock on Request magazine, a national publication. The group has twice been featured on The Taste of Chaos compilation CDs with such bands as Korn, the Def Tones, Pantera, Bleed the Dream and Adair. They have shared the stage with Alice n Chains, Velvet Revolver, Breaking Benjamin, 10 Years, L.A. Guns, Foster Child and many more. Major website features include Myxer.com and RacerXfilms.com. Their music is highlighted in the independent film "Devil's Dandruff" by Makeshift Productions. Pan.a.ce.a's sponsorships and endorsements include such companies as Jagermeister, Scott USA and Mapex drums. All these accomplishments and accolades have been earned through hard work and dedication, exceptional musicianship and unforgettable live performances. Pan.a.ce.a knows how to win the respect of fans and fellow musicians. With so many new things on the horizon in '09, this young band's future is shaping up to be not only electrifying, but truly a cure-all for fans of high energy, melodic hard rock.
