'West of East' is a unique selection of PANGIA's wide range: original compositions that include amazing soundscapes of taxims for tribal style, as well as several traditional songs lovingly arranged and updated that dancers will relish performing to. Acoustic instrumentation including Oud, Yalli Tambor, Cumbus and exotic percussion all played & arranged by Pat Olson. Exciting drum solos as well as accompaniment by Carmine T.Guida, with keyboard and Zils played by Denise Mannion. It all adds up to a CD that contains many moods and rich, colorful flavors of World, Mid East and Belly Dance music. Thoughtfully crafted and well recorded for different styles of dance and listening alike.
